KNOMOS LICENCE

In spite of its having a substantial intellectual property practice, Studio Legale Sutti, the firm which founded the Knomos project, resisted the temptation to produce the umpteenth Open Source licence and after financing its initial development for its own internal needs, it released it under the GNU General Public License, or GPL, which is used by many popular Open Source projects, such as Linux.

The text of the GPL is accessible in English here on the Web site of the Free Software Foundation , and is included in each copy of Knomos. Unofficial translations in several languages are provided here (please note that however that the terms and conditions contained in the original in English are the only one legally applicable to all versions of programs released under the GPL, Knomos included).

Accordingly, you can utilise, redistribute and/or modify Knomos under the terms of the GNU General Public License as published by the Free Software Foundation; either version 2 of the said licence, or (at your option) any later version.
